RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COMPETITION

The exhibition competition is conducted in two modes via physical mode and virtual mode. Participants shall decide the attending mode during the online registration.

A booth will be provided for the participant who attend the exhibition physically.

Both poster and video need to be displayed during the exhibition for both online and offline participants.

The poster design and video shall be original work. An entry shall be disqualified if it is found that the submission is not an original work/has been plagiarized/copied. The organizer shall not be responsible for third-party claims against the submission.

Participants shall own all prototypes, posters, and videos submitted for this competition.

The project shall not contain elements that could be considered sensitive or offensive to any race, religion, or culture.

The individual participant shall bear all costs associated with the participation in this competition while proof of submission shall not be construed as proof of receipt.

POSTER AND VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS
Poster Specification:

Participants may download the poster template here. (Size A1)

Each physical exhibitor must display a poster during the exhibition.
Video Specification:
-
The video needs to be uploaded to the event website together with the poster for each participant.

Presentation must be in English.

The details must be included in the video presentation:

Institution's Name

Project Title

Participation Category

Names of Inventors

Objectives, Problem Statements, Description of your Product/Design/Idea, and other relevant information

Video Settings:
-
Video must be uploaded to the YouTube channel. Please set the privacy setting to 'UNLISTED' if you want to restrict the audience to those who have the link only.

Must be uploaded as one single file with high definition (HD).
-
Duration: Maximum of 5 – 10 minutes.

Make sure the video has:
-
Clear sound and lighting.
-
Minimum background noise.
-

SUBMISSION FORM, AND DURATION OF COMPETITION

Online submissions for the softcopy of editable poster and video must be referred to the latest announcement on the event website.
2. The submission will close at 11.59 pm on 4th October 2024.
3. Physical participants shall set up booth on 23rd October 2024, 1 pm – 6 pm, at SUC Multi-Purposes Hall.
4. The physical exhibition will be on 24th – 25th October 2024.
5. The virtual exhibition will be starting from 08th October 2024 - 11th October 2024. Judging committee will arrange an interview session (08th-11th October 2024) if needed.

JUDGING COMMITTEE

The evaluation of all submissions will be made by a specially appointed Judging Committee.

All submission is subject to the FINAL DECISION of the Judging Committee.

The Judging Committee has the right to disqualify a submission at any time if an entry does not fulfill the stipulated rules and regulations.

By entering this competition, participants agree to the stipulated rules and regulations and shall not make claims against the organizer.
-
The Judging Committee has the right to not select a winner from among the submissions of this competition if the judging committee decides that no submission is worthy of winning.

The decision of the Judging Committee shall be final. Further calls, letters, and emails shall not be entertained.

Each group is evaluated in accordance to these criteria:

Idea, Design, and SDG Elements (30%)

Novelty and Originality (10%)
-
Applicable and Commercial Value (10%)

Quality of the Overall Project (20%)

Poster Design (10%)
-
Demonstration (10%)

Presentation (10%)

COMPETITION PRIZE

There are six categories:

2. Following are the prizes to be won for each category:
- Special Award Medal & Certificate
- Gold medal & certificate
- Silver medal & certificate
- Bronze medal & certificate
- Participation certificate

3. Each project participation entitles one (1) participation certificate.
4. Each participation from institution entitles one (1) appreciation certificate.
5. Surcharge, including postage fee will be applied for additional certificates and medals for virtual participants. The expected delivery period is due up to two (2) months.
6. For physical mode, the additional certificates can be collected on the same day at the counter once the payment has been made.
7. A prize-giving ceremony will be organized on 25th October 2024.
