Invention Description/ Abstract:
The system proposes an enhanced flood management system to integrate flood victims, effective reports, and promote awareness. The primary advantage of this system is its centralized approach to victim integration, addressing a significant gap in Malaysia's current flood management infrastructure. Once victims are integrated into the system, resource estimation for each evacuation center is facilitated, ensuring more effective allocation and management of resources. The development methodology employed is the Agile Unified Process, which provides rapid feedback and swift corrections, thereby minimizing the risk of errors and enhancing the system's overall effectiveness.
Invention Technical Description
The system consists of two components: an admin system (web-based) and a user system (mobile-based). The user system is accessible on both Android and iOS devices, as it was developed using Flutter and Dart, enabling cross-platform compatibility. To ensure a consistent user experience across devices, the app incorporates a text scale factor for responsive design. Users can access real-time weather information via integration with a weather API and locate nearby evacuation routes using the OpenStreetMap API. The admin system is designed for laptop or desktop use, providing a web-based dashboard where administrators can manage the system and view analyzed data from previous floods. The user system offers four key functions. First, the victim report integration feature collects all necessary details through a form provided by PTO Bencana, utilizing Google’s ML Kit to scan identity cards or passports for automatic data entry. Second, the evacuation center map helps users find the nearest center based on their current location and specific needs. Third, artificial intelligence replaces the traditional FAQ section, allowing users to quickly find answers. Lastly, the checklist function reminds users of essential items and actions during a flood, ensuring they are prepared for emergencies.
