Invention Description/ Abstract:

As people's lives are getting busier, it is easy for them to forget some important events. No matter whether it’s an adult or a student, it is hard for a human brain to remember everything when they went through a tough and busy day. According to research, about 56% of knowledge is lost after 1 hour, 66% after 1 day, and 75% after 6 days. Forgetting is the loss or change in information which are previously stored in our Hippocampus, which is in the brain's temporal lobe. Forgetting something is very normal because humans have to process everything such as daily affairs, emotions, fatigue, stress, insufficient supervision, and so on. Human error may lead to huge consequences such as Chernobyl meltdown, the Seveso disaster, just to named a few. Therefore, a web application which people can use as a productivity and efficiency-improving tool to improve their efficiency in life is proposed. The proposed system will be called "PLANNET" and it is a web-based application. From here on forward, the proposed system will be referred to as PLANNET. The main goal of PLANNET is to assist users in forgetfulness issues and to remind users of their daily affairs, and to develop and design a web application that helps users to keep track of events, reminders, daily affairs with some features such as monthly calendar, daily to-do list, monthly goals, notes, event scheduler, daily expenses records, and events countdown tool.

Invention Technical Description

The development of PLANNET is using XAMPP, PHP 8, Microsoft SQL Server 2019, Laravel 9, JavaScript 1.7, HTML 5, CSS 3, Google Calendar API. In general, with PLANNET, users may do the following features: view monthly calendar task where users can view monthly calendar as well as event list on the home page, record to-do list – the to-do list will be divided into three levels, which are high, medium, and low priority. Users may tick off these tasks when they are completed. Users may also record monthly goals, record notes, record event with countdown timer where users can view how many days, hours, minutes and seconds left to an event. Users may also record expenses complete with receipts upload in PDF, JPG or PNG format. Total daily incomes and expenses will be shown in the calendar.
